Major Traveling Exhibitions
Edmonia Lewis
Said in Stone (Organizing Co-Curator) Exploring the life and legacy of the 19th-century Black and Indigenous sculptor, this landmark retrospective is the first major exhibition of its kind. Co-organized with the Peabody Essex Museum, the project features 30 sculptures and various media, debuting in Salem, MA (Feb – June 2026) before traveling to the Georgia Museum of Art (Aug 2026 – Jan 2027) and the North Carolina Museum of Art (April – July 2027).
Emma Amos
Color Odyssey (Organizing Curator) This comprehensive survey of Emma Amos’s career examined her exploration of race, class, and gender through large-scale canvases and mixed media. Named a "Best Art Exhibition" by The New York Times, it premiered at the Georgia Museum of Art (Jan – April 2021) and traveled to the Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute and the Philadelphia Museum of Art through early 2022.

Expanding Tradition
Selections from the Larry D. and Brenda A. Thompson Collection (Curator) Held from January to May 2017 at the Georgia Museum of Art, this exhibition showcased 58 works from the Larry D. and Brenda A. Thompson Collection, celebrating the diversity of African American art and documenting the significant impact of private patronage.
